Launceston - Design and Construction

Phillip Hawksley provided the concept design and managed the design process for this project. Following this he completed the entire construction phase along with all other necessary prerequisites.

The Victorian Regency style of this 3 storey office block was chosen to blend seamlessly with the existing surrounding heritage streetscape and to maintain a lasting character that would not appear to deteriorate, such as many contemporary styles do, but rather to simply gather a patina and age gracefully.

The foresight, ingenuity and craftsmanship that allowed this replication led to awards and media praise and still leaves many locals believing this to be an original heritage building in Launceston.
